|"Say Johnny Depp was busy one last time, Polly Pocket!"|
Sam Raimi's film (emotionally) has as much in common with Dorothy and co as it does the HBO show of the same name. The first fifteen minutes of the movie are interesting and the choice to shoot them in black and white and in the aspect ratio of the time deserves a bravo but it all too quickly loses any soul.
None of the cast seem overly invested in the film and has surely put the skids on any real possibility of a Wicked movie.
