Richard Linklater's latest snap-shot cinematic offering takes place over the weekend before first day at University in the summer of 1980. Like so much of his work that has come before, it is a tale of everything and yet nothing. People will tell you it's rubbish, that they walked out of it after 40 minutes and that there's "nobody famous in it". These are not people you should be associating with. This is the first American generation free from war and responsibility. It's an excellent explanation for why we're so royally fucked at the moment.
